In 2014, Eric had a rare and unique opportunity that had a lasting impact on both his life and career. This experience provided direct access to top-performing real estate professionals featured on Million Dollar Listing, along with exclusive luxury real estate training and business development opportunities.
The program combined structured learning, networking, and real-world exposure across major markets including New York, Miami, and Los Angeles.
Training & Development
Eric participated in an eight-week webinar series led by Fredrik Eklund, star of Million Dollar Listing New York. The series focused on his transition and expansion from Sweden to New York, high-level real estate strategy, including branding, marketing, listing presentation, team building, negotiation and much more.
This training provided insight into how top-producing agents operate at scale, and how systems, consistency, and positioning play a critical role in long-term success.
Miami – Networking
In February, Eric traveled to Miami to attend a fundraising event hosted by South Florida luxury real estate broker David Adam Kurz. The event included a red-carpet networking mixer featuring Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles professionals Josh Altman, Matt Altman, and Josh Flagg. During the event, they signed Eric’s brochure for his then Senators Mansion listing in Rochester, helping create a unique piece for his clients and further expand the marketing and positioning of the property.
This experience provided direct exposure to networking opportunities, business interactions, and marketing strategies, along with insight into how high-end agents brand themselves and position ultra-luxury properties in competitive markets.
New York City – Luxury Market Tour
Following the completion of the webinar series, Eric traveled to New York City to meet Fredrik and the Eklund Gomes Team.
During this visit, Eric:
- Participated in real estate group discussions
- Toured luxury condominium developments
- Explored key markets including Manhattan, SoHo, and Tribeca
- Attended networking dinners with industry professionals
This provided firsthand exposure to one of the most competitive and fast-paced real estate markets in the world.
Los Angeles – Conference & Ultra-Luxury Tour
In March of that same year, Eric traveled to Los Angeles to attend the ERA International Business Conference.
During the conference, Eric reconnected with the Altman Brothers, where Josh Altman served as a keynote speaker.
Following the conference, Eric attended an Altman Brothers–hosted event in Beverly Hills with Josh Altman, Matt Altman, and Heather Bilyeu Altman.
Eric also toured luxury properties throughout:
- Hollywood Hills
- Beverly Hills
- Bel Air
These tours provided direct insight into high-end property presentation, pricing strategies, and marketing at the ultra-luxury level, followed by additional networking opportunities with top professionals.
